One photo a day on the crutches

The playful Instagram task ‘One photo a day on the crutches’ helped me recover from a hip surgery to improve my ‘hip dysplasia’. All photos were taken by Iphone in Hackney Downs Park, London.

It took me a few days to get out of the hospital bed but once I was discharged, caught up with my sleep at my temporary home in Hackney Downs, I ventured out on 30 December 2017. From then on, I haven’t missed a single day, be it sunny, rainy or icy, morning, afternoon or evening. There have been some setbacks in the recovery process – slower than expected healing of the bones, uncooperative hip muscles, nasty hip flexor strain on the operated leg, ankle sprain on the good leg, but the challenge ‘one photo a day’ kept me going. And so did the encouragement and support of friends and family, in London and abroad.

Highly recommended challenge to get you through difficult times!
